A winter engagement shoot in Chicago! Krista and Paul were referred to me from some of the best people I know in the Quad Cities. A big Thank You to the coolest girls in the QC;) Mo, Amy, Erin and Molly! I drove up to the city on a Saturday, it was sunny and not freezing cold, and we started at Krista and Paul’s brownstone apartment building. I am so happy we did! Their apartment was uhhh-mazing. Such cute style and decor. It told so much about them, and I could have shot details of their place for days.
As we were driving around to the next locations on our list, I found out they went to the same college in the Quad Cities, St. Ambrose. The same friends that referred them to me for photography, also convinced them they should go on a date. And now here they are preparing for their wedding. They are going back to the Quad Cities to have a smaller sized wedding in an amazing and very historical mansion. As their photographer, I know I will love every photo opportunity the location will hold.
Krista and Paul, you were so super friendly, helpful, inviting, happy and fun. I was so excited when you asked me to shoot for you in Chicago and yes, even in the winter. I had been getting cabin fever and it was a great shoot to get me motivated for the upcoming wedding season. I can’t wait to see you again in a few months for your wedding!
Assuming they are two different locations, Would you get your engagement photographs done back home where you are from? Or would you get them done where you currently live? Or would you be willing to go somewhere you have never been before at the photographer’s suggestion? Leave your questions and comments below!
