I have my emails answered, iced latte with an extra shot in hand, Allman Brothers playing in the background and am now ready to tackle about 10 back to back blog posts. This wedding was an outdoor ceremony at a newly renovated venue in Burlington, Iowa. The ceremony was set in a garden on one of Burlington’s many small hillsides. The reception was inside an old historic church full of character. Majestic Estates was just recently renovated into an amazing, quaint venue perfect for small yet very charming weddings. The garden was full of Spring blooms and green grass giving a “secret garden’ feel to many of the images.
My favorite part of the day was the ceremony. As Paige walked down the garden path, Jesse’s eyes filled with joy as happy tears streamed down his face. As the photographer, being so close to the moments, I saw him very quietly whisper to her ” You look so beautiful” . It is moments like this that not everyone else sees and leaves me feeling so grateful that I get to be a part of these hidden moments.
The charming garden was scattered with friends and family. Their little girl, Tessa, was intrigued with love and wonder. And Jesse and Paige read personal vows filled with heart, joy, passion, desire and a little bit of inside humor as their little family of three became one.
Thank You Heyland family for asking me to capture this day for you. Here are a few of my favorites from your special day.
