A fun, sexy and gorgeous engagement shoot at Navy Pier! This was my first ever 9AM shoot in the city and it worked out perfectly. Getting there early allowed us to beat large crowds and get some great shots on the rides without it being over ran with other people. Sara had her heart set on carnival themed shots and I was thrilled to capture that essence for her. The swings, carousel, ticket stand and ferris wheel made for such a lively, playful setting.
I went to high school with Sara so it was absolutely no surprise that she worked her bubbly, fun, spunky magic through the lens of the camera, making my job a breeze as she modeled effortlessly through the shoot. My favorite photos of the day are the ones where I know Mike is smiling at her because she is very lovingly teasing him and making him laugh just to help him feel more at ease in front of the camera. The flirtatious activity you see in some of these photos was most certainly not prompted, but just Sara very willingly showing her affection for her soon to be husband.
After an outfit change, we walked further down the pier and incorporated some modern textures, city skyline, lake landscapes and vibrant colors. In just a few short days, Sara and Mike will get to do this all over again at the Silver Fox Wedding in Streator, Illinois.
See you Soon!
