I am currently coming down from a crazy-wonderful, end-of-the-year schedule. In the midst of all the editing, admin tasks and fulfilling orders, I was forced to take a blog hiatus. With the holidays behind us and a new year in tow, I am now able to catch my breath and begin sharing some of my favorite engagements and weddings from 2016.
I couldn’t imagine a better way to begin things than with this wonderful wedding. This wedding was one of my personal favorites. A boho woodsy wedding complete with wild flowers and bare feet. Courtney and Jake are a kind and charming couple originally from the Quad Cities but travelled back from Colorado to plan their wedding. They incorporated locally grown food, handmade jewelry, wild flowers from Colorado and utilized their location to create organic natural decor throughout the day. They invited their guests to sprawl out on blankets underneath the trees and relax as a friend played the ukulele on the side. Courtney was a romantic vision with her lace gown, braided hair and bare feet walking through the grass to meet Jake. Their intimate ceremony was complete with hand written vows and tears of happiness.
Thank You Courtney and Jake for having me as your wedding photographer. The day was stunning in every way and it was a pleasure to capture the essence of your cherished day.
