I’m back at it today with more engagement posts from last summer.
First, this one is placed outside the dusty little railroad town of Verona, Illinois. I probably mention this every single time I post about Verona, but it’s where I started my first official photography business 13 years ago. Joel’s family has picture perfect property in this area that I am familiar with from capturing his sister’s engagement and wedding, a few years back. Linnea brought so many great ideas to the table, and the end result of the entire session was magical.
We made it back to the broken down fence inside timber full of tall grasses. I got some shots at a nearby old red barn complete with chickens, We ended with a few nostalgic tractor shots and included their beloved horse (all Joel’s idea for the horse shot) for a few as the sun went down. The image with them walking in the sunset horizon with the horse might be my favorite of all time. I probably say that a lot too.
I am beyond excited to make it back at the end of this Summer to capture another lovely ceremony for this sweet family.
