I keep finding myself going back into my archives the last few weeks just to feel warm by going through my beach weddings. Today is dreary and muddy in Iowa but this wedding was HOT HOT HOT. The weather and the couple.
I had the pleasure to head back to The Royalton Cancun in Mexico last Summer. I have photographed weddings here before and this resort does a spectacular job putting together weddings that are private, beautiful and romantic. Ashley and Anthony traveled in from out east and I flew in from Iowa to spend 3 fun days of capturing them around the resort area.
A few of my favorite memories from the wedding:
- The incredible energy their friends and family brought with them during the celebration
- Anthony and Ashley’s insanely adorable daughter. *See photos for proof
- The gold dress she wore for the beach session… Yas!
The wedding was full of splashes of Coral, Gold, Ivory and a light Beige. Ashley’s inspiration was to have a beach theme but staying elegant in the process. Her vision was to feel like they were in a paradise. The most important part of the wedding to her was finding the right location that would allow privacy and elegance. She included that the other most important factor was the photography:) (Thank You so much for flying me out from Iowa to trust me with one of the most important parts of your day).
Ashley’s favorite moment of the day was when she and Anthony were pronounced husband and wife. Anthony’s favorite memory was seeing Ashley walk down the aisle with her father.
When asked if she had any advice for future brides, she said: “Stay calm, don’t stress and enjoy every moment of the experiences”. Ashley and Anthony plan on taking a Honeymoon to another exotic island with “the sun, cool breeze and a drink in our hands”.
