This past weekend I was delighted to shoot for a good friend and successful business owner. Josh owns TFW: Dupage in Elmhurst, Illinois. Josh and his team came together over a live webinar with other TFW affiliates from all over the world to set a Guinness World Record of most people doing push ups at one time. “Push Ups for a Purpose” was put together to benefit the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund for families of children battling cancer. The event was a huge turnout and feel good success. Kudos to my long time friend and inspirational go getter, Josh Rupprecht. Thanks for having me be a part of it!

A winter engagement shoot in Chicago! Krista and Paul were referred to me from some of the best people I know in the Quad Cities. A big Thank You to the coolest girls in the QC;) Mo, Amy, Erin and Molly! I drove up to the city on a Saturday, it was sunny and not freezing cold, and we started at Krista and Paul’s brownstone apartment building. I am so happy we did! Their apartment was uhhh-mazing. Such cute style and decor. It told so much about them, and I could have shot details of their place for days.

This was a quick spur of the moment road trip to Galena, Illinois. I have been to Galena once before to shoot a wedding in the winter. I remembered the atmosphere being quaint, historical and charming, but I didn’t get a good chance to capture the essence of the small village at that time. This trip started with a 2 hours, back road, sunny drive up the Iowa side of the Mississippi. We stopped along the way to get fresh air and a few drinks in Princeton, Iowa at Go Fish. This establishment was very impressive for the small town it resided in. Built in the air on stilts, the view from every window was the mighty river, looking exceptionally blue with scattered ice blocks floating throughout. The staff was friendly and drinks were cold.
